Goble, 81, Beatrice, died Friday night, Jan. 3, 2003, at the Parkview Center in Beatrice. She was born March 9, 1921, in Exeter, Neb., and was a 1939 graduate of Edgemont High School in Edgemont, S. D. She attended Doane College in Crete for two years, was a member of Gamma Phi Lota sorority at Doane and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor of science degree in home economics in 1943. She and Eldon Goble were married Aug. 7, 1943, in Lincoln and moved to Beatrice in 1945 from Edgemont, S.D. She had been a member of the Edgemont PEO Chapter, the DAR and the Eastern Star. In Beatrice, she was a member of the First Christian Church, having served as a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Bargain Box, Beatrice Community Hospital Auxiliary, Beatrice Community Players, charter member and past president and held numerous other offices of the PEO Chapter FM, Gage County Historical Society and was a Boy Scout pack leader, all in Beatrice. She was also a member of the Lincoln Community Players and the University of Nebraska Alumni Association. She enjoyed Nebraska football, reading, traveling, movies and playing bridge. Survivors: husband, Eldon; daughter, Karen Osentowski and husband Richard of Kearney; son, Dr. Richard Goble and wife Renee of Grand Island; grandchildren, Jared and wife Kelli Osentowski, Ryan Osentowski, Nathan Osentowski, Brandon Goble, and Brent Goble; three great-grandchildren; brother, Lewis Kerr and wife Mona of Tulsa, Okla.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clair and Celia (Lewis) Kerr.
