Description	:	MOUNT AIRY, NC ~ Mrs. Frances Edwards Hill, 76, of Heatherstone Lane, wife of Warren Hill, passed away Thursday night, Nov. 8, 2001, at her home. Mrs. Hill was born in Surry County on Nov. 20, 1924, the daughter of the late Elbert Paul and Hassie Midkiff Edwards. Mrs. Hill was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by three brothers, Lt. Cmdr. John Edwards, Bob Edwards and Joe Bill Edwards; and her first husband, Col. John P. McGovern. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Gary Leonard. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Saturday night at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
