Description	:	Our beloved mother, Frances Eileen (Mattingly) Baumer, passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, in Mt. Carmel East, Columbus. She was born March 3, 1923, to James Henry Mattingly and Clara Mae (Wallace) Mattingly in Hollywood, Md. She was employed at the Hotel Washington, Washington, D.C., and then at the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Washington D.C. Eileen was a homemaker, raised six children and was secretary for her husband, Richard A. Baumer Sr.'s, home construction business in Huron for over 40 years. She is survived by her sons, Richard Baumer Jr, (Judy) of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Joseph Baumer (Victoria) of Huron; daughters, Dorothy (Jack) Girard of Sandusky, Joyce (David) Thiel of Pickerington, Ohio, and Nancy Baumer of Grove City, Ohio; granddaughter, Jennifer (Andy) Gehrlein of Shaker Heights, Ohio; grandsons, Jason (Amber) Girard of Yellow Springs, Ohio, Jonathan Girard of Huron, John Thiel, Mark Thiel and Gregory Thiel of Pickerington, Eric (Meghan) Baumer of Ithaca, N.Y., and Allan Baumer of Palm Harbor, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Margaret, Alexander and Benjamin Gehrlein of Shaker Heights, Elsa Girard and Farah Girard of Yellow Springs, Aurelia Sherburn Baumer and Eviana Sherburn Baumer of Ithaca; and two sisters, Betty Hill of Lexington Park, Md., Sr. Eleanora Mattingly, SCN, of Louisville, Ky.; and sister-in-law, Laura Bundschuh of Norwalk. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Baumer Sr., in 2002; her son, James C. Baumer, in 1970; her parents; eight brothers; and three sisters. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.Thursday, Oct. 16, at Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m Friday, Oct. 17, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron. The Rev. Jeff McBeth will officiate. Interment will be in Scott Cemetery.
