Description	:	Frances Eleanor (Foshe) Briant was born in Mason City, Iowa on November 25, 1925 to Esther (Egerdal) and Frank James Foshe. On January 25, 1954 she became the beloved wife of Robert "Bob" Ellis Briant of Des Moines, Iowa. They made their home in Des Moines, Iowa until they moved to Sun Valley Lake in Ellston, Iowa ten years ago. Fran played in the Tingley Kitchen Band, Charlie's Revue and the Friday Singers who provided entertainment at community events and care centers throughout the county. Read More	Frances Eleanor (Foshe) Briant was born in Mason City, Iowa on November 25, 1925 to Esther (Egerdal) and Frank James Foshe. They made their home in Des Moines, Iowa until they moved to Sun Valley Lake in Ellston, Iowa ten years ago. From that marriage three wonderful children were born. Pam (Rick) Moody of Des Moines, Iowa, Larry (Nancy) Briant of Dexter, Iowa and Robert G. Briant of Ellston, Iowa. and his fiance' Verna Calad. Over the years, these relationships produced 9 grandchildren; Crystal (Moody) Houska and Heather Moody; Michael and Ashley Briant; Amy, Emily and Jacob Briant; Stacy Fuqua and Jennie Bethards. These grandchildren have now produced 5 great-grandchildren; Brandon Houska, Ali Hogberg, Bryce and Brenden Thomas and Brandy Fuqua. Once they began their family, Fran stayed at home to raise her 3 children. During those years, she was a model mother who was very active with her children in all types of clubs and activities. Her job as a mother was even more important being married to a career firefighter who spent 24 hour shifts at the fire station for Des Moines. Fran has lived her life a dedicated Christian and raised her children instilling these values. She has always been active in her church and actively walked inher faith daily, which was witnessed by all who knew her. She will be remembered as a person who loved to "love" everyone. Friends and family could count on always being greeted with hugs and kisses. Complete strangers could expect a radiant warm and loving 'Fran' smile complimented by sparkling blue eyes. Fran has lead a light-hearted life with ahousehold always filled with humor and laughter. Like her mother, she loved to laugh which was often contagious to those around her. She lived her life to the very fullest. Even after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's in recent years, she strived to maintain her health which she accomplished remarkably well under the circumstances. With her, we celebrated every moment of every day until she died on October 4, 2005 at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr. A fall and a broken wrist took her to the hospital that evening and she died of a massive stroke. She has now returned home to her heavenly Father to be joined with those who have gone before her which include her parents and her brother Wayne Foshe. She is survived by her sister Margaret (Bill) McCauley of West Des Moines and her brother Gene (Bonnetta) Foshe of Prescott Valley, Arizona; her husband, Bob Briant, and all of the offspring listed above, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
