Description	:	Funeral services for Frances Frank, age 93, of Verdigre were Saturday June 2, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Verdigre. Pastor Tim Pratt officiated with graveside services at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Orchard Hill Cemetery in Orchard, Ne. Visitation was held Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brockhaus Funeral Chapel in Verdigre. Mrs. Frank died Wednesday May 30, 2007 at Alpine Village in Verdigre, Ne. Frances Frank, daughter of Otto and Grace (Bridge) Schwager, was born March 16, 1914 at Orchard, NE. She graduated from Orchard High School. In 1934, at Yankton, SD, she was married to Albert Melcher of Page, NE. They farmed in the Orchard area and in 1946, moved to a farm southwest of Creighton. Albert passed away in September of 1954. On October 12, 1957, Frances was married to Fred Frank at the UCC Church in Creighton. They farmed west of Verdigre until 1979, when they retired and moved into Verdigre. Fred passed away in March of 2004. Frances was baptized on September 14, 1958 and was a member of the Verdigre Methodist Church and the church choir. She died Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at the Alpine Village Nursing Home in Verdigre at the age of 93. Survivors include her sons and their wives, Robert and Pat Melcher of Winnetoon, Dick and Gwen Melcher of Creighton, and Ronald and Loretta Melcher of Valentine, NE; step sons, Fred and Kathy Frank of Wausa, Larry and Marilyn Frank of Verdigre; a sister, Erna Melcher of Page; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands; 3 brothers, Frank, John, and Edward Schwager of Orchard; and one sister, Minnie Robertson of Orchard. (www.brockhausfuneralhome.com)
