Elnora was born April 5, 1915, in Brooks to Joseph Ernest and Ada Augusta (Boody) Stimpson. She had been a resident of Anson/ Madison for more than 60 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Ronald F. Ward. She is survived by her four children, all living in the surrounding area of her home, a son Gary E. Ward and wife Phyllis, three daughters, Deanna F. Curtis and husband... June Newton and brother-in-law Norman, of Lombard, Ill., one sister-in-law Glendora Ward and daughter Susan of Rockport. Eleven grandchildren, Michael Ward and wife Lisa, Embden, David Ward, Augusta. Ronnie Ward and Kathy, W., of Bowdoin, Bill Ward, of Madison, Tonia Harrison and husband Donald, of Michigan, Tim Curtis and wife Cheryl, of Madison, Tami Hudson and husband Charles, of Virginia, Julie Mead and husband Vance, of Wisconsin, Jodie Tracy and husband Jim, of Sidney, Bobbi Jean McCarthy and husband Alexie, of Rome, Travis Miller and wife Sherry, of Oregon. Twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. A service of Celebration will begin at 10.30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at United Baptist Church, 43 Maple Street, Madison, with Pastor Dan Curtis officiating.
