Mrs. Rast was born in Charleston, a daughter of Beatrice Shuler Murray and the late Dalcho Judy Murray. She was a graduate of Holly Hill Academy, and was a well known local artist. She was a member of Eutawville United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by a sister, Judy M. Rhode. She is survived by her husband; her mother of Santee; nieces and a nephew.
