Description	:	The funeral for Frances Urness, 92, of Leeds was held Friday at the Leeds Lutheran Church. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died April 7, 1997 at the Good Samaritan Center in Devils Lake. Rev. Richard Budd officiated. Kenneth and Dorothy Stuberg provided special music. Pallbearers were Jeff, Greg, & Kevin Urness, Mike Ahman, Jerry Hoeppner & Mark Barnhouse. The Nelson Funeral Home of Leeds was in charge of arrangements. She also attended Mayville State Teachers College & taught in area rural schools. She married Clarence Urness at Leeds Aug. 30, 1926. He died Sept. 7, 1989. She was a former member of the Leeds Congregational Church & was presently an active member of the Leeds Lutheran Church. Survivors include a daughter, Ardell Olson of rural Minnewaukan; 4 sons & 3 daughters-in-law, Reginald & Ardell Urness of Grand Forks, Dale & Marilyn Urness of Leeds, Clarence Jr. & Tiffany Urness of Sacramento, Calif. & William Urness of Denver Colo.; a number of grandchildren & great-grandchildren; & a brother, Galen Fox of Chicago, Ill. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Jean Skar; a grandson, Scott Urness; a great-grandson, Zachery Scott Urness; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Urness; & 2 sisters, Bernice Fox & Naomi Zabel.
