She was born June 7, 1893 in Keya Paha County Nebraska the daughter of Elmer and Alma Vifquain. She received her education in Nebraska and on February 22, 1914 she was united in marriage to Peter C. Cold 99 of Lewistown, MT and pioneer Nebraskan died Saturday, evening, August 8, 1992, at her son's home in Lewistown of natural casuses. She was born June 7, 1893 in Keya Paha County Nebraska the daughter of Elmer and Alma Vifquain. She received her education in Nebraska and on February 22, 1914 she was united in marriage to Peter C. Cold in Colome, SD. They moved to a homestead near REVELSTOKE, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA where they lived until 1917 when they returned to Nebraska. They farmed near Springview and Ainsworth. He died in 1931 and she continued to farm with her children until 1945 when she moved into Omaha. She then worked at Children's Memorial Hospital until 1959 when she retired. In 1987 she sold her home in Omaha and has since spent time living in Gooding, ID and Lewistown, MT with her daughter and son. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 5 sisters, 1 infant daughter and 2 granddaughters. She is survived by; sons: Elmer and wife Alice of Lewistown, Jefford and wife Patricia of Omaha NE; three daughters; Marie Bourn and husband Maynard of Ainsworth NE, Midlred Smith and husband Wilbur of Omaha, and Patricia Schoettger and husband John of Gooding ID; one sister; Sister Elma Vifquain of Alliance NE, 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 12, 1992 at the St. Pius X Catholic Church in Ainsworth. Burial was in the Ainsworth Cemetery. Fr. John Rademacher officiated the services. Music was furnished by Nichole Dankey, Nancy Deeds and Michelle Deeds. Casketbearers were; Ralph Bourn, Richard Cold, Tom Cold, Rick Deeds, Dave Egan and Vince Mangiameli. Arrangements were under the direction of the Hoch Funeral Home of Ainsworth.
