Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Kay Dixon, 78, of Hartsville, SC, who entered into rest on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, will be conducted at 2 o'clock on Saturday, December 30, 2017, from the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, where she will lie in state beginning at 1 o'clock. The Rev. Jackie Hinson and The Rev. Loy Davis Roper III will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Kay Dixon was born in Hartsville, SC on September 30, 1939 to Bessie Ray Usher King and Howard “Puny” King. She married Fred Dixon Jr. on January 3, 1958. She graduated from Hartsville High School and retired from Guilford Mills Inc. Gainesville, GA November 1998. She passed away in Gainesville, GA where she has lived since 1984. Kay Dixon was a former member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and W.M.U. director for the Welsh Neck Baptist Church Association. At the time of her death she was a member of New Holland Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Fred Dixon Jr.; sisters, Lou Doris Flowers, sister Betty Ann (Allen) Tyner; brother, Howard Ray (Barbara) King; sisters-in-law, Peggy Dixon, Shelby (Ed) Syrop; daughter Sharon (Danny) Cannon; son, Fred (Jada) Dixon III; four grandsons, Fred Zackary (Kayla) Dixon IV, Christopher (Dakotah) Cannon, Blane (Stephanie) Dixon, Jeremy (Cassie) Dixon; granddaughter, Stephanie Caroline Cannon; great-grandchildren, Caden Dixon, Danny Rodrigez, Camden Dixon, and Skylar Cannon; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Douglas Dixon; father Howard “Puny” King, and her Mother Bessie Ray Usher King; brothers-in-law, Colburn Flowers, Leslie J.L. Dixon, Harvey H. Byrd; sister-in-law, Lola May Byrd; father-in-law, Fred Dixon, and mother-in-law, Viney Caroline Jones Dixon.
