Description	:	Frances ‘LuCille' Meimann of Cedar Falls, IA, formerly of Colo, IA, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on March 26, 2014 at Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls, IA. The family celebrated her 90th birthday this past June. LuCille was born on June 8, 1923 in Alma, MO to Lawson and Mary Shields. She grew up in Missouri and graduated from Belton High School in 1942. Read More	Frances ‘LuCille' Meimann of Cedar Falls, IA, formerly of Colo, IA, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on March 26, 2014 at Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls, IA. The family celebrated her 90th birthday this past June. LuCille was born on June 8, 1923 in Alma, MO to Lawson and Mary Shields. She grew up in Missouri and graduated from Belton High School in 1942. LuCille worked at the Lake City Arsenal in Independence, MO manufacturing ammunition in support of WWII. On August 4, 1943 she married John Myron Beving in Montgomery, AL. John was deployed in the spring of 1944. LuCille continued to work in support of WWII at Pratt Whitney inspecting aircraft parts. Upon John's return from the war, LuCille and John raised their three children in Colo, IA. LuCille spent her working years as a bank teller in Nevada and Ames, IA. John passed away in 1972. LuCille married Merle Meimann on September 12, 1981. She and Merle celebrated 32 years of marriage in September. Merle and LuCille farmed until 2000. In 2005, they moved from Colo to the Western Home Communities in Cedar Falls, IA. LuCille was a devoted and compassionate woman who made her family a priority. She was an avid gardener (LuCille loved flowers) and enjoyed taking photographs of her family and travels. Surviving are her husband, Merle; daughters, Myrna Wade and Karen (Michael) Jacobsen; son, Nathan (Debra) Beving; and 5 grandchildren (Lisa, Evan, Noah, Haley, and Mackenzie). She is also survived by 3 step-children (Diane, Kay, and Craig), 12 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren. A service celebrating LuCille's life occurred on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing, IA followed by her burial at Colo Memorial Cemetary.
