Frances Beller was born Jan. 26, 1915, in Ponca. She grew up in Ponca and was a graduate of Ponca High School. On Aug. 5, 1933, she married Robert M. Evans in Sioux City, Iowa. Frances Beller was born Jan. 26, 1915, in Ponca. She grew up in Ponca and was a graduate of Ponca High School. On Aug. 5, 1933, she married Robert M. Evans in Sioux City, Iowa. They moved to Rosalie after their marriage and then moved to Bridge Port in 1941. They moved to Scottsbluff, living there for 2 1/2 years, until moving to Fremont in 1945. Her spouse died in 1966. On Nov. 18, 1975, she married Charles Velte in Fremont. He died March 7, 1998. She was a teller, receptionist and bookkeeper at the former First National Bank in Fremont from 1966 to 1988. She was a member of First Congregational Church, UCC in Fremont, the Women's Fellowship and Mayflower; a member of Arbor Vitae Chapter 92, Order of Eastern Star since 1947, and the Business and Professional Women's Club since 1982. Survivors include: a stepdaughter, Suzanne Velte of Fort Worth, Texas; two grandsons, Curtis (and wife, Sandy) Knoll of Flippin, Ark., and Michael (and wife, Tammi) Knoll of Marysville, Kan.; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, one brother and two sisters. The Rev. Don Stoebner officiated Saturday's service. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established to First Congregational Church UCC in Fremont.
