Read More	DEATH OF MRS. H.B. KING Passed away at Eagle Grove Tuesday-Funeral at Dunlap Thursday. Lived at Carroll many years. Another home has been made desolate by the visitation of Death. A kind and loving husband has been bereft of his solace and comfort, loving children are mourning the loss of the dearest possession on earth, a mother. Mrs. Francis M. King passed from this world into the Great Beyond Tuesday morning early, being at the hospital where she had undergone an operation in hopes of saving her life. The funeral services were held here Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Lander taking charge. The remains were taken Thursday morning over the North-Western to Dunlap, where services were held and where the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery by the side of her two children. Her mother and thirteen brothers and sisters all live there. Mrs. King is the first of her family to go. The deceased was born in Guernsey County, Ohio in 1850 and was married to Mr. King thirty seven years ago. Her maiden name was Francis M. Benson. She is the mother of eleven children, all of whom are living with the exception of two. The children are A.H. Of Council Bluffs; Mrs. John Fiscus of Carroll; Mrs. Harvey Huntington of Mont; Mrs Clyde Rose of Boone; Mrs. Robinson of Eagle Grove;Arthur A. of the US Marines stationed in the Philippines; Mrs Will Robinson of Chicago, and Mrs Will Tuefel of Boone. The many beautiful floral tributes indicated the esteem in which she was held by all her neighbors and friends. The casket was decorated by small flags of all the countries, they having been sent to her by the son in the Philippines. She was a member of the Rebekahs and members of the Odd Fellows lodge acted as pall bearers, being J.O Johnson, Bert McGill, E.C. Jewett, M.E. Sargent, Frank Wells, and Fred Bauers. Early in life she united with the Christian church and remained faithful to that organization up to the last days of her life. The sorrowing family has the sympathy of their many friends in their loss. ************ Mr. and Mrs H.B. King lived at Carroll for many years, he being one of the old time engineers of the North Western. The departed was a kind hearted lady who was loved and esteemed by all that knew her and her demise is noted by her daughter from here, Mrs. John Fiscus who with her husband hastened to her side. She, who in life fulfilled conscientiously her duties to her husband, children, God, and man, who abiding faith in the Redeemer has gone to a higher better life. Beyond life's troubles and tribulations, we have been taught there are everlasting dwellings. Let us hope that He who wipes all tears away has granted her pardon for her human frailties that she has gone to dwell in mansions of ever lasting bliss. A special coach was furnished by the Great North-Western for the funeral from Eagle Grove last Thursday. Besides Mr. And Mrs John Fiscus, the latter's parents, Mr and Mrs George W. Fiscus, and Mr. And Mrs. Mike Carver and Messrs. Ray Dangel and Lawrence Eyrich attended the funeral from here. The relatives felt especially grateful to the I.O.O.F. And the Rebekahs of Dunlap who in every way showed their fraternal spirit in the arrangements for and assistance at the funeral. The ladies had a nice supper prepared at the hall for the relatives and friends, and their kindness was highly appreciated by the bereaved ones, who said words would but express their feelings towards all who so kindly befriended and assisted them in their hour of grief and sorrow.
