Description	:	Mrs. Palmer (Frances) Wangrud, 53, of Valley City, died at Mercy Hospital Saturday evening. Frances May Johnson was born April 24, 1920 at Fargo, the daughter of Elliott and Sena Johnson. In 1938 the family moved to Marion. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and received her education there. On November 23, 1941 she married Palmer Wangrud at Fort Ransom, N.D. They farmed at Verona, N.D. until 1955 when they moved to Valley City. She has been working at the Green Valley Laundry for the last year. She was a member of the Grace Free Lutheran Church... In 1938 the family moved to Marion. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and received her education there. On November 23, 1941 she married Palmer Wangrud at Fort Ransom, N.D. She was a member of the Grace Free Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid. She is survived by her husband, five sons, Ordean of Valley City, Rodney of Garland, Texas, Loren of St. Louis Park, Minn., Kevin and Jeffrey both at home; four daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Loretta) Dean of Hopkins, Minn., Mrs., Jerome (Connie) Dahl of St. Louis Park, Minn., Mrs. Donald (Valerie) Fisher, of Jamestown, Penn., Mrs. Michael (Paulette) Orner of Sanborn; three brothers, Earl of Ypsilanti, Lloyd of Gackle, and Lester of Arthur; five sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Helen) Hoffart of Hopkins, Minn., Mrs. Sidney (Lorraine) Wibstad, of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Francis (Doris) Orr of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Wayne (Shirley) Johnson of Eden Prairie, Minn., and Mrs. Robert (Velma) Fruetal of Grand Forks, and thirteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at the Grace Free Lutheran Church, with Rev. Robert Lee officiating.
