Description	:	FRANCES MARIAN CAMPBELL was born February 29, 1912, to Louisa (Burrell) and George Wesley Barney Dennis at the family home near the old Stringtown Schoolhouse west of Davis City, Iowa. Frances passed away July 13, 1991, at the Ringgold County Hospital, Mt Ayr, Iowa at the age of 79 years, 4 months, and 14 days. Frances spent her early years with her parents, 5 sisters, and two brothers in various places in rural locations in southern Iowa and northern Missouri. Read More	FRANCES MARIAN CAMPBELL was born February 29, 1912, to Louisa (Burrell) and George Wesley Barney Dennis at the family home near the old Stringtown Schoolhouse west of Davis City, Iowa. Frances passed away July 13, 1991, at the Ringgold County Hospital, Mt Ayr, Iowa at the age of 79 years, 4 months, and 14 days. Frances spent her early years with her parents, 5 sisters, and two brothers in various places in rural locations in southern Iowa and northern Missouri. Her education included attendance at country grade schools during these years. She graduated from Lamoni High School as Salutatorian of the Class of 1932. During high school, she obtained Normal Training which prepared her for about four years for teaching in rural schools around the local areas. She then went to Iowa State Teachers' College in Cedar Falls for additional training and subsequent teaching assignments. A filing course, which she completed by correspondence, was also a great advantage to her in various responsibilities over the years. Just prior to her marriage in 1940 to Harvey Lenard Campbell, she moved with her parents and sister Lena on acreage on the southwest edge of Lamoni. Frances and Harvey were married on December 8, 1940, during the church service held in the Coliseum in Lamoni. They moved to the Campbell family farm approximately 4 miles southwest of Lamoni where they have resided ever since. Frances was a strong contributor to family, church, and community, having raised two sons Kenneth Leonard and Robert Westley. She occupied many roles in the leadership of women's groups where they attended church and in community and civic circles. In her later years, she enjoyed to a great degree her hobby of painting and the many friends and acquaintances that developed from those activities. Preceding her in death were her parents, George Wesley and Louisa Dennis; a brother Glenn David Dennis; and a sister Cora Sula Bartlett. Surviving Frances are her husband Harvey of Lamoni; son Ken Campbell and wife Cindy and their daughters, Elena Sue and Jenny Lynn, all of Gainesville, Florida; son Bob Campbell of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother Elbert Earold Dennis and wife Irma of Lamoni; 4 sisters: Lena Gertrude Dennis of Lamoni; Edna May Finney of Trenton, Missouri, Dale Elizabeth Evans of Tucson, Arizona, and Belva Maureen Collins and husband Dennis of Princeton, Missouri; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. July 16, 1991, at the Lamoni RLDS Church with Elders John E. Maurer, Glen A. Campbell and Ken P. Smith officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, Iowa.
