Description	:	Frances "Tiny" Molzahn Kersnick, age 93, passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Healthcare Center in Kaplan, Louisiana on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Frances was born July 26, 1917 in Dundy County, Nebraska, to her parents, Frank and Susie Benson. Frances spent her childhood in and about Imperial, Nebraska, traveling to school on a pony who sometimes went home early. She also qualified to become a school teacher. Frances was born July 26, 1917 in Dundy County, Nebraska, to her parents, Frank and Susie Benson. Frances spent her childhood in and about Imperial, Nebraska, traveling to school on a pony who sometimes went home early. She also qualified to become a school teacher. She married Edward John Molzahn on July 19, 1934 and they farmed in the Chase County area of Nebraska until moving to Colorado in 1945, where they opened one of the first grocery stores in Arvada. Her husband, "Ed", passed away on April 18, 1963 in Arvada, CO. On January 1, 1970 she married George T. Kersnick and they resided in Aurora, CO as Frances continued to work at the King Soopers grocery chain and later retired there after 30 years. Frances and George moved to Grand Junction, CO and began traveling in their beloved RV; they visited almost every state in America and ended up residing in Parker, AZ. George passed away on March 19, 1993 and in April, 2000 Frances moved back to Grand Junction, enjoying her home, family and all her card lady friends until July 2008 when she moved to Kaplan, LA to live with her daughter, Linda, and son-in-law, Rick. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, DeWayne Molzahn, and is survived by sons: Jerry (Linda) Molzahn, of Grand Junction, and Gerald (Marie) Molzahn, of Worland, WY; daughters: Linda (Rick) Exe, of Kaplan, LA, and Cheryl (Tim) Heng, of Carbondale; and daughter-in-law, JoAnn Molzahn, of Lake Havasu City, AZ. A private family gathering will be held in Imperial, Nebraska at a later date. Frances was cared for with tenderness and wisdom by the Hearts of Hospice and the Kaplan Healthcare Center. She was a grand lady, a loving mother and full of life and laughter. She was loved by everyone and will be missed greatly. Published in The Daily Sentinel on May 15, 2011
