Description	:	Following an illness of but a few days duration at the home of her daughter in Norfolk, whom she was visiting, Mrs. John Wagner Sr. died there Friday evening, October 12 at 6 o'clock. The direct cause of her death being attributable to pneumonia. Her husband and four surviving children, Luke Haak of Ainsworth, Nebr., Mrs. Dan Scott of Winnetoon and Mrs. Frances Wagner of Norfolk were at her bedside, when death came. One brother, Fred Schneider of Creighton and one sister, Mrs. Kate Vose of Appleton, Wis. survive her. The body was brought to Creighton, Saturday. Funeral services were held from St.... Funeral services were held from St. Ludgerus Church Sunday and interment made in St. Ludgerus Cemetery. Father Windolph reading the requiem high mass and interment services. Honorary pallbearers were Madames Stephen Mattern, John Huigens, Joseph Dohmen, J.W. Rothenburger, Albert Sinschert and Miss Anna Dowling. Active pallbearers were Henry Schwartz, Peter Richling, John Huigens, Frank J. Kain, Henry Tharnish and Albert Tinschert. Franceska Schneider was born at Schlesingerville, Wis. March 19, 1855. She came to Nebraska in 1873 and was married to John Wagner January 11, 1894. Mrs. Wagner was known by her friends as an exemplary woman. Having endured the hardships of pioneer life in this county, she gained for herself an unconscious desire to be of assistance to others on every presentable occasion. Her keen business acumen likewise provided her with resources sufficiently adequate to enable her assist others throughout her later career; her ministrations and solicitude to an enfeebled sister predeceasing her, but briefly are admirable held in remembrance by her associates. Friends, as well as relatives, will miss Mrs. John Wagner. We join with friends in expressing sympathy to those who mourn.
