Description	:	World War II Navy fighter pilot, and farmer. Son to Clifford and Marie Myers in Arbuckle, California. As a young man in Arbuckle, Kip learned to fly airplanes at the age of 20. In December 1942 he began his Civil Pilot Training and passed his final flight check in February 1943. He then continued naval training in San Francisco graduating with very high honors. After the war, Kip married Neva Davidson on July 20, 1946, making their home in Arbuckle. Over the next 50 years, he farmed rice, sugar beets, wheat, barley, tomatoes, alfalfa, onions, and vine seeds, retiring in 1996. Throughout the years, Kip and Neva enjoyed spending time in Fort Bragg with family and friends. Kip passed away at Manor West in Woodland, California. He was preceded in death by his wife, Neva; granddaughter, Jennie Myers; and great grandson, Asa Myers. Kip was survived by his four children: Lorraine (John) Morrison, Micheal (Nancy) Myers, Horse (Janet) Myers, and Carolyn (Jim) Hale. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: John, Amy, Lisa, Taffie, Knute, Ted and Jimmy, and fourteen great- grandchildren. A funeral mass was held March 5 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Arbuckle. Burial followed at the Catholic Cemetery in Arbuckle. A Celebration of Life was held at the Arbuckle Golf Club afterwards. Donations in his memory may be made to the Arbuckle Fire Department.
