He was born Oct. 30, 1929 in McComb to Cloyd and Edith (Robinson) Roy. He married Dorothy Shaffer on Aug. 24, 1952 and she survives. Also surviving are a son, Greg, of Findlay; a daughter, Mrs. Duane (Sandi) Martin, Clearwater, Fla.; two grandchildren; a brother, Gerald, of Findlay; and two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Bernice) Brickman and Mrs. Howard (Grace) Rinehart, both of McComb. Mr. Roy retired in 1972 from the state of Ohio was a weighman and scalers supervisor. He also owned F & G Draft Systems, Findlay. He was a Korean War Veteran, having served from 1950-1952. He was a member of Christ Church United Methodist, Findlay. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hartley Funeral Home, McComb, the Rev. Alan Sandford officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be performed. Visitation will be held from 7-9 Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Diabetic Foundation.
