Davis died at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at his home in Barnesville after a long illness, aged 69 years, 5 months, and 1 day. He had been a farmer before he became ill and death was due to complications. He was a son of the late Charles and Catherine Davis. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lulu Davis, and the following children: Mrs. Ivy Nehouse, Wheaton; Mrs. Minnie Allder, Brownhill, Va.; Mrs. Catherine Everhart, Arlington, Va.; Mrs. Alice Suddith, Damascus; Calvin, Silver Spring; Reginald, Francis, William, and Mrs. Maggie Cooley, at home; Miss Lulu May, Arlington, Va.; Mrs. Nellie O'Neill, Washington; one brother, Egbert, Laytonsville; and one sister, Mrs. Maggie Monrad, Gaithersburg. The body is resting at the funeral home where services will be held this afternoon. Interment in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville. William B. Hilton, funeral director.
