(Jean) Tillema of Wheatfield, IN; grandchildren, Andrew Rosene, Jamie Dolezal, Kelly Dolezal and Carley Dolezal and step-grandchildren, Lisa (Craig) Jackson, Amy Tillema, Rebecca Tillema and Scott Tillema and two step-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first wife, Anna M. Gargione, who passed away Oct. 16, 1972. Visitation 2 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 5th, at Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte, IN. Memorial service at First Christian Reformed Church of DeMotte, IN, Tuesday, April 6, 1999, Pastor Steve Datema officiating. Interment, San Pierre Cemetery, San Pierre, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Reformed Church of DeMotte. After graduating from San Pierre High School, class of 1934, Fritz started his life-long career in the grocery business and became the owner and operator of Dolezal's Shopping Center. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member and past Elder of the First Christian Reformed Church of DeMotte and a former member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ in San Pierre. He was a past member of the San Pierre Lions Club, a charter member of the Him Sings' and was active in his church choirs. He additionally served as past Board Member of the San Pierre State Bank and he was affectionately remembered as Santa Claus to many children.
