Born in St. George, NB on May 1, 1914, he was a son of the late Herbert and Florence (Noonan) McAleenan. A loving husband and father, he is survived, besides his wife, by one son, Jack (Janyne Blacklock); one daughter, Jean (Will Dupuis); one daughter-in-law, Liz McAleenan; all of St. Andrews; seven grandchildren, Sarah (David Groom), Amy (Dean Lord), Mary, Bridget, Morgan, Neily, and Emily; four great-grandchildren;... A loving husband and father, he is survived, besides his wife, by one son, Jack (Janyne Blacklock); one daughter, Jean (Will Dupuis); one daughter-in-law, Liz McAleenan; all of St. Andrews; seven grandchildren, Sarah (David Groom), Amy (Dean Lord), Mary, Bridget, Morgan, Neily, and Emily; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul of Saint John, NB; two sisters, Geraldine McShane of Milltown, NB and Pauline Curran of Old Ridge, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased, besides his parents, by brothers, John, Jim, Pat, Henry, Lawrence and Leo, and also sisters, Elizabeth, Louise, Doris and Kathleen. Frank was a veteran of WWII, and active overseas in France with the Black Watch Regiment. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #8 of St. Andrews, NB. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, building model lighthouses, and going to his camp. Resting at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, St. Andrews, NB from where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 am with Father Bill Brennan as officiant. Interment to follow in St. George's Roman Catholic Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Arrangements in the care of St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB. In Frank's memory, donations to the St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church Building Fund or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. www.stgeorgefh.ca
