McGann, 112 North Allegany street, one of the janitors at SS. Peter and Paul school died en route to Allegany Hospital this morning following a heart attack while at work. About 10 a. m. Mr. McGann was found prone on the floor of the SS. Peter and Paul bowling alley in the school building by Arthur Beaulieu, assistant manager of the alleys. McGann told him he would be all right in a few minutes and not to call a doctor. Before leaving, Beaulieu reported the incident to monastery priests who, upon investigation, found Mr. McGann prone on the floor again. They called a doctor and an ambulance. Pending their arrival the last rites of the church were administered to the stricken man by Father Frederick O.M.F. Cap. An ambulance arrived shortly after 11 a. m. Mr. McGann was pronounced dead on his arrival at the hospital. It is said that Mr. McGann had been suffering from high blood pressure for sometime. Mr. McGann is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth (Ruppert) McGann, and two children, Bernard F. McGann, US. Army; and Mrs. Fred Neus, and two grandchildren." McGann, 53, of 112 North Allegany street, who suffered a heart attack yesterday morning in SS Peter and Paul school building, while at work and died en route to will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in SS.
