Description	:	Francis Lakin (219157177) Francis L Lakin, son of Wm M and Ann Lakin, died on the 2nd of March, 1893, age 31 years, 1 month and 10 days. Had taken the white swellon at the age of six years and had been a great sufferer for twenty-five years, and had used crutches over twenty-four years, was confined to his bed for the last four years, had only been out of the house a few times since 1889. Read More	Francis Lakin (219157177) Francis L Lakin, son of Wm M and Ann Lakin, died on the 2nd of March, 1893, age 31 years, 1 month and 10 days. Had taken the white swellon at the age of six years and had been a great sufferer for twenty-five years, and had used crutches over twenty-four years, was confined to his bed for the last four years, had only been out of the house a few times since 1889. Two weeks before he died he told other parties just how he wanted to be dressed for burial, and was fully resigned to the will of the Lord, and said he would be at rest. His funeral took place at the Richland U B church on the 3rd inst. Rev Serf preached a very appropriate sermon. The deceased was born in the northern part of Indiana on Jan. 20, 1862, and was the oldest child of Mr and Mrs Lakin, and was loved by all who knew him. His sisters all visited in his last hours of affliction - one from Custer Co., Neb., one from Frontier Co., Neb. and one from Benton Co., Indiana. The deceased was a great sufferer to the last and was in his right mind except a few minutes six days before his departure from this life.
