| Description | : | RONAN - Francis L. McDonald Sr. passed away at his home in Ronan on April 4, 1999. He was born June 21, 1932, to Thomas and Louise "Finley" McDonald in St. Ignatius. He married Julia M. Hernandez Feb. 11, 1956, in Missoula. They divorced but remained close. Francis served in the Korean War and worked in sawmills in Missoula and Polson and in tribal forestry, firefighting, as a sawyer and in tree planting before working for Flathead Post & Pole in Dixon.
