Description	:	9 May 1935 - The Tipton Advertiser Mr. Frank L. Spence, longtime resident of Tipton, passed away at his home in this city at 5:10 Thursday morning. He had been in frail health for many weeks and had not often been away from his home during the past year. He was born at White Plains, New York, January 28, 1853, and came to Tipton with his parents, Thomas L. and Sarah Ann, in 1855. Spence, longtime resident of Tipton, passed away at his home in this city at 5:10 Thursday morning. He had been in frail health for many weeks and had not often been away from his home during the past year. He was born at White Plains, New York, January 28, 1853, and came to Tipton with his parents, Thomas L. and Sarah Ann, in 1855. He was married in 1877 to Anna Catherine Sheets, daughter of Jacob and Mary (Rote) Sheets. Eight children were born to this union. Two boys died in infancy. Six of the children survive to mourn their father's death. They are Mrs. Joe Bell of Tipton, Mrs. Dorothy Eisenohn of Central Ferry, Wash., Mrs. Fay Leach of Janesville, Wis., Mrs. W. M. Klumforth of Rock Island, Ill., Mrs. Ab Will, Tipton, and Walter at home. There are also sixteen grandchildren, two brothers Will of Iowa City , A. W. Spence of Tipton, two great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Kate Dolan of San Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. Chas. Well of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Sadie Walter of Rochester, Iowa. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the home in Tipton, at 2:00 o'clock. Provided by Find A Grave member Jacie (47037786)
