Read More	Garden County News (Oshkosh, Nebraska), Sep. 21, 1933, Page 3 Francis Marian Rook was born in Clarke county, Iowa, on the 9th day of March, 1881, and departed this life at his home in Lewellen, Nebr., Thursday morning at 12:45, September 14, 1933, at the age of 52 years, 6 months and 5 days. [Editor: He was the son of Thomas J. and Sarah Rook.] He lived with his parents in Clark county, Iowa, until 1886 when the family moved to a farm near Phillips, Nebr., where he lived until reaching manhood. It was here that he was united in marriage to Miss Delpha Reiter on March 8, 1903. In 1906 they left the old home and moved to Kearney, where they resided until 1912, afterwards moving to Lodgepole, and then to Lewellen in 1914, where they have since lived. Five children came to bless their lives: Vernon L. of Chappell, Nebr.; Earl J., Arthur Wayne, Floyd Raymond and Eldon Lyle all of Lewellen. Besides the five children he leaves to mourn his departure a loving wife, two brothers: S. A. Rook of Casper, Wyo., and J. C. Rook of Ewing, Nebr.; two sisters: Mrs. T. A. Sutton of Scottsbluff, Nebr., and Mrs. T. P. Jeffers of Lynden, Wash.; four grandchildren and many friends. He was a member of Ash Hollow lodge No. 402 of Independent Order of Odd Fellows at Lewellen. Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church in Lewellen, Rev. W. M. Daubenspeck, pastor of the Lewellen and Oshkosh Lutheran churches, delivering the sermon. The Home Undertaking Parlors of this city had charge of arrangements, burial being in the Ash Hollow cemetery with the Odd Fellows reading the last rites of that order at the grave. Many relatives and friends and members of the Odd Fellow lodge were present at the services, making up a large congregation at the church and the cemetery.
