Mr. Gilmore, a former Columbus resident, and his wife had been visiting here at the time of his death. The Rev. A. L. Embree, pastor of the Methodist church, will officiate at the funeral services and burial will be made in the Columbus cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Gass chapel till the time of the services. Mr. Gilmore, resident of Lincoln for the past 16 years, retired Nov. 19 of this year after 34 years service with the C.B. & Q. Railroad. Before moving to Lincoln he had resided in Columbus for about 16 years. Born in Friend July 8, 1885, he was the son of Joseph and Sarah Flannery Gilmore. He attended schools in Friend. His marriage to Anna Belle Mars took place Nov. 14 1906 at her home near Monroe, and for some years they lived at Monroe. He was a member of the Methodist church and was affiliated with the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Survivors are: his widow; two sons, Marlow of Omaha and Frank, jr., of Norton, Kans.; two daughters, Mrs. George (Helen) Brannen of Greeley and Mrs. Louis (Hazel) Martys of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Thomas W. Blackmore of Provost, Alberta, Canada; his step mother, Mrs. Maud Gilmore of Friend; two half-brothers, Tom Gilmore of Denver and Dell of Lincoln; three half-sisters, Miss Ruth of Scottsbluff, Mrs. Carrie Woods of St. Joseph, Mo., and Mrs. Ethel Bardin of Fremont. Mr. Gilmore was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Carl, and one half-brother, Clyde.
