Janecek, 73, of Dodge, father of Mrs. Lumir Pospishil, and Mrs. Albert Heimann, of West Point, were held Friday afternoon, Jan. 11, in the chapel of Bohemian National cemetery, at Dodge. Mr. Janecek died Tuesday afternoon in a Norfolk hospital, where he had been hospitalized for the last 13 months. Burial was at the National cemetery. Mr. Janecek was born Oct. 18, 1889 in Czechoslovakia, the son of Alois and Mary Janecek. He came to America at the age of 17. He stayed with a sister at St. Joseph, Missouri, and worked at Farwell before coming to Dodge in 1913. He was married January 18, 1915 to Julia Vlach, who died May 17, 1948. They lived 3 miles north of Dodge and acquired their own farm north of Dodge, 1922. In 1944 they retired and moved to town. He was remarried Oct. 6, 1949 at Fremont to Mrs. Mary Janecek. He leaves the widow, Mary, two sons, Eldon and William, both of Dodge; 2 daughters, Mrs. Albert (Irma) Heimann and Mrs. Lumir (Marie) Pospishil, both of West Point; 17 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Julia Stejskal of Czechoslovakia and one brother, Anton, of Haugen, Wis.
