Those left to honor Frank's memory are his daughter, Connie (Ted) Bisom of Rock Island, Illinois; his son, Gary (Carol) York of Newton; six grandchildren, Michael Dale (Rachel) Bisom, Justin L. York, Lisa Michelle Bisom, Matthew John (Faith) York, Eric Raymond York, and Jennifer Tacker; his three great-grandchildren, Christopher Bisom, Penelope York, and Elliot York; two nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Pearl (Edmunson) York; wife Bea in 2010; two brothers, Howard and Keith York. Frank served his country in the U. S. Marine Corps from June of 1944 till April of 1946. He participated in action against the enemy at: Iwo Jima, Volcano Islands and the Occupation Of Japan. Frank was a graduate of Newton High School in 1937. Frank worked many years for the Maytag Company in the Tool and Die Department, where he was a supervisor when he retired in 1985. MEMORIALS to Project Awake or to Skiff Hospice may be left at the funeral home. If mailing memorial to the funeral home, please add, Attn: York Family to the envelope.
