Description	:	Obituary submitted by: Barbara Tracey Jones Frank DeVol, 74, of Ottumwa, route 3, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph hospital. He had suffered a heart attack earlier in the day while down town on business. He was born December 29, 1882, in Richland Township, the son of George B. and Mary Funk DeVol. He was a resident of Wapello county all his life. He was born December 29, 1882, in Richland Township, the son of George B. and Mary Funk DeVol. He was a resident of Wapello county all his life. He lived on the farm north of Ottumwa and was a dealer of livestock. He was a member of the Wilson Presbyterian church, Masonic lodge 16 of F.M. & A.M. and the Order of the Eastern Star No. 112. He was married to Olla Kent April 26, 1933, at Fairfield. She survives. Other survivors include Mrs Ray Rees of Ottumwa route 7, a niece. He was preceded in death of a brother James C DeVol in 1948, and a sister Ora DeVol , March 10, 1957. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Reece Funeral home with the Rev. Paul Hann D.D. pastor of the First Methodist church in charge. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery where graveside services will be conducted by Ottumwa Masons.
