Read More	Garden County News (Oshkosh, Nebraska), Feb. 13, 1947, Page 1 Frank Taylor, 72, pioneer resident of Garden county, passed away at Lewellen, Thursday, following an illness of about two months. Mr. Taylor was widely known throughout this section of the country, having come here in 1885. Frank C. [editor: Cozad] Taylor, son of Robert and Minerva Taylor, was born January 19, 1875, at Salesville, Ohio. He passed away at the Lewellen hospital, February 6, 1947, after an illness of about 2 months, at the age of 72 years, 17 days. While still in his infancy, his parents moved to Clay County, Nebraska, where they resided for several years. In 1885 they moved to the tableland south of Lewellen where his parents homesteaded, later moving to the farm south of town. When he became of age he homesteaded southwest of Lewellen. He was a lover of nature and in the early twenties planted a grove of trees on his original homestead with which he used some to build a log cabin in 1940. On March 13, 1920, he was united in marriage to Kate Lewis Wells. To this union four children were born: Marjorie, Blanche, Frank L. and Robert, all residing in Lewellen. He is also survived by twin grand-daughters, two brothers, Win of Oshkosh, and Albert of Naches, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Naatz of Kirkville, N. Y.; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church, Sunday afternoon, and burial deferred until Monday afternoon, waiting the arrival of relatives from Washington.
