Mr. Diekhoff died Monday, October 5, 1987, at Huron Regional Medical Center. Frank Diekhoff was born August 13, 1902, south of Wessington to Reemt and Etta (Peters) Diekhoff. He married Blanche Johnson February 3, 1923, at Wessington. He lived his entire life in the Wessington area, except for five years in the Black Hills. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Clifford and Shirley Diekhoff of Wessington; one daughter and son-in-law, Thelma and Lester Lindgren of Grandview Plaza, KS; five grandchildren and their spouses, Alan Lindgren and his wife, Cleo, Cumberland, RI, Penny Woodruff and her husband, Byron, Wessington, Gene Diekhoff and his wife, Vi, National City, CA, Peggy Diekhoff, Mission and Kirk Diekhoff, Wessington and three great-grandchildren, Thomas Lindgren and Terry and Shane Woodruff. He was preceded in death by his wife, March 12, 1982, four brothers, Martin, Jake and George Diekhoff, one brother in infancy and one sister, Hilka Goodall. Pallbearers were Harold Pevestorf, Lowell Prentice, Donald Clark, Kenneth Heasley, Eben Noyes and Gordon Davis.
