Description	:	Frank E. Goodfellow was born on May 5, 1921, near Bruce, SD, the son of Herbert Guy and Bertha Ann (Cotton) Goodfellow. Read More	Frank E. Goodfellow was born on May 5, 1921, near Bruce, SD, the son of Herbert Guy and Bertha Ann (Cotton) Goodfellow. He died on Sunday, May 6, 2007, at the Brookings Hospital at the age of 86. Having spent his entire life in the house he was born in. Frank grew up and attended country school in District #111. After receiving his education he began working on the family farm with his father. Farming was his entire life until he met Mary Lou Coy and they were united in marriage on November 28, 1955 at the Church of Christ in Arlington, SD. They made their home on the family farm, where they raised two daughters, Janet and Gay Linn. Frank and his brother-in-law, Earl DeBoer spent many years doing custom corn shelling for local farmers and elevators. Frank was a lifetime member of Preston Christian Church where he was an Elder and a Deacon. He devoted his life to his family and serving his church as well as being encouraging and supportive to those he came in contact with. He enjoyed being active on the farm, taking early morning walks, visiting people along the way, and spending time with his grandkids. His smile and hearty handshake will be dearly missed by his family, friends and neighbors. Frank is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Goodfellow of Bruce; two daughters, Janet (Doug) Basye of Brookings and Gay Linn (Jed) Eckman and their children, Dylan, Colton and Kylie Eckman of Bruce; two sisters, Letha Kinney of Estelline and Ellen Klinsky of Huron and sister-in-law, Irene Goodfellow of Brookings. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Blanche DeBoer and brother, Horace Goodfellow.
