Born at Rison on February 19, 1927, he was the son of the late Charlie Monroe Lain and Pearl James Lain. He was reared at Rison and attended school at Monticello. Born at Rison on February 19, 1927, he was the son of the late Charlie Monroe Lain and Pearl James Lain. He was reared at Rison and attended school at Monticello. He worked at Ben Pearson and Leon's Gas Station in Pine Bluff, Arion Mr. Lain had been a resident of Pine Bluff for 43 years and he was a member of Liberty Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Veada Wilson Lain, two sisters; Lelar Sawyer and Louise Galloway, and two brothers; Tommy Lain and Harvey Lain. Survivors include a daughter; two brothers; and a sister. Graveside services were held Friday afternoon, March 17, 2000, at the Macedonia Cemetery near Rison, conducted by Charles Cuthbertson, Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home of Pine Bluff was in charge of arrangements.
