Description	:	Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Topeka for Frank Eugene Ray, 74, Topeka. He died Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, at a Topeka hospice house. Mr. Ray was a 22-year veteran of the Air Force and had served as an aircraft mechanic in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He later worked for the postal service in Holton for 27 years. He retired in March 1997. He was born June 15, 1928, in Mayetta, the son of William and Marian E. Johnson. He graduated from Holton High School in 1947. Mr. Ray was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Topeka, Holton Memorial Post No. 1367 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mary L. Bair Unit No. 44 of the America Legion in Holton, the 16-75er's Square Dance Club in Holton, the Shawnee Swingers Square Dance Club in Topeka and he was a former member of the Holton Country Club. He married Mary Lou Meston in August 1950. She died in January 1975. He married Kay Jones on April 13, 1996, in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Michael Finley Ray, and William Eugene Ray, both of Topeka; two daughters, Debra L. Davis, Holton, and Susan L. Starbird, Mountain Home, Idaho; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Burial with military honors will be in Holton Cemetery.
