Description	:	The family of FRANK GARNER ANDERSON announce his passing on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the age of 92 in Raymond, Alberta. He is survived by his wife Vesta Anderson of 64 years; his children: Richard (Janice), Ted (Bev), and Lori (Len) Hatch; 15 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren, and one sister June Fawns. He is predeceased by his parents Moses and Aurelia Anderson and one great grandson Ethan Anderson, and his siblings: Lloyd Anderson, Mabel Salmon, and Lynn Anderson. Frank was born in Cardston, Alberta in 1919. He lived in Weiser, Idaho. By age 13 he had lost both of his parents and came to Raymond and lived with his Aunt Zina and Uncle William Anderson. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces and served overseas for 6½ years. He was a paratrooper and fought in the Battle of the Bulge and other significant battles in Germany. Frank married Vesta and raised his family in Raymond. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved serving in the Alberta Temple for 12 years. Friends may meet the family on Thursday evening, April 26 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the LDS Knight Street Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, KNIGHT STREET CHAPEL, Hwy 52 and 300 East, Raymond, with Bishop Ron McMullin officiating. Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Raymond Handibus, c/o Raymond Hospital, Box 599, Raymond, AB T0K 2S0. We appreciate the care and concern shown by the staff at Prairie Lodge and the Raymond Hospital.
