M. at his home on Collins Avenue. He became ill during the early hours Tuesday morning. He was 70 years old. County native, he resided in this area all his life. Son of Robert M. and Lummic Head Lyle, he was born in the Marshall community. He marked his 70th birthday last August. He attended rural schools and then completed bis schooling in Hilisboro. He was engaged in farming for a number of years before moving to Hilisboro in the early 1930's. For the past several years be had been engaged in the real estate business here. He was also secretary-treasurer of the Ross-Highland National Farm Loan Association, a farm cooperative, associated with the Federal Land Bank of Louisville, Ky. He maintained offices on East Main Street. Lyle had been active in Grange work virtually all his life, serving as county Grange deputy for 13 years. He was also a member ol the Ohio State Grange committee and held various other posts both locally and in the state. The local man had also been active in various agricultural associations. He served as secretary/treasurer of the Highland County Livestock Improvement Association; for many years and was also secretary-treasurer of the Highland Producers, local marketing cooperative. He was active in the Highland County Agricultural Forum and several other farm groups. One of the organizers of the Highland County Farm Bureau; he was appointed president of that group on July 7, 1922. He was elected president and served in that capacity until Dec. 23, 1932. Much of the early growth of the organization can be attributed to his untiring efforts. He was a member of the Hillsboro Methodist Church and secretary of the official board of that church. He is survived by his wife, Martha Cowgill Lyle, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Watts, Hillsboro Rt. 4; Mrs. Carey Donohoo, Hillsboro Rt. 8, and Mrs, Stella Redkey, Hillsboro Rt. 4. Services will be held Friday at 2 P. M. at the Evans funeral home, with Rev. W.
