Mr. Korger, who lived at 2622 Ninth Street, had been employed by the Union Pacific for 35 years. He worked in Columbus and later in Grand Island. He was born March 8, 1900 in Polk county to Mr. and Mrs. Constantine Korger. He married Helen Kirkman [sic] in 1928 and she died in 1937. Surviving are his second wife, the former Helen Mae Eaheart, whom he married at St. Bonaventure Church; two sons, Francis of Billings, Mont., and Donald of Columbus; seven grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Tena) Beringer of Bellwood, Mrs. John (Ann) Strach of Boliver, Mo.; four brothers, John of New York, Rudy of Wisconsin, Gus of Milwaukee, and George of Shelby. A sister, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Gable and two brothers, Robert and Vincent, preceded him in death. [Note: First wife Helen Kerkman died in 1937.]
