Kupka on Thursday, July 3, at 11 a.m. He had been ill since March and died at the Wilson Nursing home at Tama. The deceased was born December 3, 1868, in Otter Creek township, the son of Peter and Barbara Kupka. He was married December 31, 1891 to Julia A. Blazek. He was a resident of Tama county all of his 89 years. He farmed until his retirement April 12, 2922. He held several public offices and was a member of St, Joseph's Catholic church. Survivors include his children, Mrs. William (Ella) Novak and Milo Kupka, Chelsea, and Edward Kupka of La Grange, III., seven grandchildren and four great, grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. John Dvorak, Mrs. Joe Novak, Mrs. Charles Blazek and a brother, Charles Kupka of Chelsea. Mrs. Kupka died four years ago. Services were held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 5 at St. Joseph's Catholic church with Rev. V. J. Hlubek in charge. Music was provided by St, Joseph's choir. Casket bearers were John Enegar, Joe Benesh, John Sheda, Joe Mayer, Anton Sheda and Joseph Fetter. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery. Out of towners were from Cedar Rapids, Belle Plaine, Tama, Dysart and LaGrange, Illinois.
