Description	:	Mr. Matzen was born Sept. 29, 1911, in Clinton, to Frank and Clara Hansen Matzen. He married Lois Cole in 1934. She died in 1952. He married Dorothy Geronzin July 10, 1954, in Yorktown, Ill. He lived all his life in Clinton, and was a member of Turner Society, and a former member of Iowa National Guard, Batterey A., for 20 years. He worked as a supervisor at the former Climax Co, and at Clinton Corn Processing Co., for about 20 years as a plant security guard. He retired in 1976.
