Funeral services will be held at the family home Thursday afternoon at 2:00, Rev. Mr. Soule of Greeley will have charge of the services. Mr. Burbridge was born in Hamilton, Indiana, December 2nd 1851, and was therefore in his seventieth year. We regret that if is impossible for the Democrat to give a more complete account of the life of this well known citizen in this week's issue, but we shall do so next week. Manchester Democrat - Manchester, Iowa - September 21, 1921 FRANK M. BURBRIDGE Frank M. Burbridge was born in Hamilton, Indiana, December 2nd, 1851, and as a young man came to Delaware County with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rowland Burbridge, who located on a farm near Greeley in 1866. The father died in 1905 and the mother in 1919. Mr. Burbridge was educated in Carlisle college, at Carlisle, Indiana, and after completing his education he engaged in farming, and at the time of his death was the owner of several hundred acres of land near Oneida. On June 22nd, 1872, he was united in marriage to Miss Emma E. Malven of Colesburg. The surviving members of the family are the widow and five children-- Charles L., Frank R., Harvey R., Al Malven, and James J. of Manchester, together with one sister, Mrs. C. O. Noble. Mr. Burbridge was a member of the Masonic fraternities at Manchester and Greeley and of El Kahir temple of Cedar Rapids. Mr. Burbridge's death occurred at his home near Oneida on September 20th, 1921, and funeral services were held at the home last Thursday afternoon, Rev. M. Soule of Greeley had charge of the services. Mr. Burbridge was a public spirited citizen and for six years he served this county as a member of the board of supervisors. For nine years he was assessor of his township, as well as director on the school board.
