Description	:	Frank M Ferree was born in Claremont County Ohio, August 28, 1865 and passed from earthly life at his home in Edgar Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 1919. He was the eldest of three children. The family moved to Tazewell County, Illinois, in the fall of 1868, and resided there until March 1879, when they came to Nebraska and located on a farm five miles northeast of Edgar. Read More	Frank M Ferree was born in Claremont County Ohio, August 28, 1865 and passed from earthly life at his home in Edgar Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 1919. He was the eldest of three children. The family moved to Tazewell County, Illinois, in the fall of 1868, and resided there until March 1879, when they came to Nebraska and located on a farm five miles northeast of Edgar. About six years later they moved into town and here Mr Ferree has continuously resided since that time. He suffered his first great sorrow in the loss of his mother in August 1885, and in November 1913, his father, George W Ferree, passed away. On October 19, 1887 he was united in marriage with Miss Martha Stayner of Edgar and an only daughter came to bless their home. On coming to Edgar Mr Ferree entered the employ of J M Brown a dry good merchants and held this position until about the first of July 1894, when he and his brother became partners in the business and he continued an active member of the firm until March 1, 1919, when failing health rendered his withdrawal imperative. About ten years ago he suffered a paraletic stroke and never regained his former health and the past two years especially has witnessed a very marked decline. In the spring of 1900 he and his brother were initiated in the order of Free Masons and together they took the first, second and third degrees. About fifteen years ago he became a member of the Methodist church and for the most of the time since has held the office of church treasurer. Mr Ferree's business career was characterized by energy, industry and a careful attention to details which insured success. In his social relations he was ** and considerate, an exemplary neighbor and a worthy citizen. He was faithful in attendance at the services of the church he loved and contributed generously to its support. A good man has gone but the beneficient influences of his unassuming, earnest, upright life remain. His wife, daughter,, Mrs Earl Hart, brother, C M Ferree,, sister, Mrs Ella Lewis of Gold Bar, Washington; and half sister, Miss Eva Ferree, of Salem, Oregon, survive him. Rev E N Tompkins of Lincoln, a former pastor and an intimate friend of the family for the past ten years, preached the funeral sermon and Rev R F Scott assisted in the Methodist church Thursday, August 21.
