Description	:	CARBAUGH, Frank Oller, 89, a lifelong resident of the Eggleston Community, passed away Saturday morning, October 4, 2003 in Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg, after a short illness. He was born on January 5, 1914 to the late Charles William and Sarah Virginia Burton Carbaugh. Frank spent his life on the banks of the New River and along the railroad tracks, working for the N. S. Railroad for over 36 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Virgie Bailey Carbaugh; daughter-in-law, Martha Merrix Carbaugh; four brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his four children and spouses, "Buddy" Carbaugh of Eggleston, Shirley C. Lucas and husband Dickey, of Pearisburg, Jane Carbaugh of Pearisburg, Sue C. Thompson and husband Fred, of Pembroke. Paw Paw Frank was greatly loved by his eleven grandchildren, Tammie L. Stoneman and husband Richard, Tim Lucas, David Carbaugh and wife Teresa, Danny Carbaugh and wife Jean, Trina Lucas, Doug Carbaugh and wife Linda, Wade Carbaugh and wife Virginia, Freddie Thompson, Dusty Carbaugh, Pam Thompson, Carolyn Atkins and husband George; and ten great-grandchildren, Amanda Jean Carbaugh, Alan Michael, Patrick and Shawn Carbaugh, Rachael Smith, Kierston and Maddie Carbaugh, Justin and Allison Stoneman, and Jeffery Atkins. He is also survived by a special niece, Eunice Mustard. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke with burial following in the Croy Cemetery at Goodwins Ferry. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.
