Description	:	Frank Pearson, age 97, of Watertown, SD passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009 at a local care center. Memorial services were held on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Watertown with Frank's nephew, Father James Pearson officiating. Eugene Doutt was the organist. Interment will be at a late date in the Webster City Cemetery, Webster, SD. Military honors were conducted by the Codington County Post 17 of the American Legion. Visitation will be on Wednesday, for one hour prior to the service at the church. Frank Pearson was born on May 30, 1911 to Stephen and Agnes (Flagstad) Pearson in Webster, South Dakota. He grew up in Webster where he attended school and graduated from Webster High School. He then attended Yankton College for two years. Frank was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during World War II as a radio operator in Borneo and New Guinea. On June 28, 1948 he married Elizabeth Cacavas in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Frank and Elizabeth made their home in Wahpeton where he owned Wahpeton Floral. They retired and moved to Watertown. Frank was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church. He was an avid gardener, hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Inez Spehr, Richard, Lynn Pearson, David, Robert and Julian Pearson, and Margaret Butterbrodt. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his children, Penelope (Gregg) Marsh of Lake Bluff, IL, Nancy Pearson of New York, NY, Christopher (Kim) Pearson of Sioux Falls, SD, and F. Joseph (Suzanne) Pearson of Excelsior, MN; his sisters, Patricia Pearson of Watertown, SD and Joan Kelly of Bellefontaine, OH; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
