Description	:	Frank was born near Cologne, Germany. He and four of his younger brothers emigrated to the USA in about 1848. Two of those brothers were Peter Joseph (1827-1898), and John Henry (1840-1900). They settled first in Baltimore, Maryland, then later moved to western Pennsylvania. Peter was a tailor in Pittsburgh. John farmed near Pittsburgh. Frank and one of the other of his emigrating brothers, Mathias, went to Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, and later moved to Nebraska. The other of those five brothers, Henry, remained in Pittsburgh where he worked as a tailor with his brother Peter. But finally Henry, too, moved to Indianola, Nebraska. In 1851, while still in Wisconsin Frank married Anne Marie Waschbusch; they married in Mequon, WI. They bore seven known children: John (1852-1890), Matthew (1854-1926), Peter (1858-1940), Anthony (1860-1907), Margaret Mary (1862-1935), Mary Ann (1864-1939), and Bernadine (1866-1895). Son John never married. He accompanied his father to Ayr, and is buried near his father. Sons Matthew and Peter left Wisconsin in about 1880. They went first to Arkansas, then to Missouri, and finally to Nebraska. In Missouri, in 1883, Matthew married Sarah Hagar, in Ripley County, MO. They bore seven known children: Fannie (married George Overstreet and had two daughters), Peter J. (1884-1967) (married Ellen Leichfeldt [1894-1968] and had four children), Dena (1889-____) (married Thomas Barnes and had two boys and a girl), Henry (____-1937) (whose wife’s first name was Harriet), Odessa A. (1893-1937) (married John Helman and had two boys and three girls), Lauretta M. (1904-____) (married Lee Woods and had two daughters), and Herbert (1907-____) (whose wife’s first name was Ida). In 1890 Matthew moved to Ayr, Nebraska, where he died and is buried in Blue Valley Cemetery near Ayr. Frank and Anna’s son Peter (1858-1940) was the first of the Wisconsin family to settle in Nebraska. In 1883 he married Eva Matilda Harding (1865-1948) in Ayr. They bore four known children: Margaret (1884-____) (married James Sheehy and had four girls and three boys – one of whom became the Rev. James Sheehy of the Nevada Diocese), Harry H. (1898-1960) (married Marie Sobota of Schuyler, Nebraska), Lemoyne J. (whose wife’s first name was Marie), and Anthony. Peter died in 1940 in Hastings, Nebraska. Frank and Anna’s son Anthony (1860-1907) married Charlotte Ulmen (1857-1940) in Granville, Wisconsin and had seven known children: Frank Peter II (1884-1951) (married Irma Grimes and had a son Frank who was killed in World War II, and a daughter Mary Caroline “Madie” [1886-____] [married Jacob J. Helmes [1887-1957] and had a daughter), John Henry (1887-1959) (married Frances McCarthy [1889-1967]), Agnes Josephine (1889-1969) (married J. Octave LeBlanc {1889-____] and had one son), Viola Bernadine (1891-___) (married A. J. “Chos” Gaudreault [1887-___]), Eva Antonetta (1894-____) (married Christian Schmidt [1880-1940]), and Charles Edward (1900-____) (married Helen Spellman [1902-____] and had two sons, one of whom died in infancy, and a girl. Anthony had moved to Ayr, Nebraska in 1885, and then in 1900 to Hastings, Nebraska; he died in Hastings in 1907. Frank and Anna’s daughter Margaret Mary married Edward J. McBride (1853-1933) in Blue Hill, Nebraska and had two children: Edgar (1892-1948) (married Eva Theresa Conniff [1902-___] and had two boys and three girls) and Mary (1901-____) (married Alexander M. Gow [1902-____]). Margaret is buried in Blue Hill, NE. Frank and Anna’s daughter Mary Ann (1864-1939)(married John Schmidt [1862-1943] in Blue Hill, NE and they had two children: Frank P. [1888-1948] [married Agnes LaBrie [1890-___] and had three sons), and Hugo (1900-____) (married Betty Stone). Frank and Anna’s daughter Bernadine moved with her parents to Ayr, NE in 1885.
