Description	:	TECH 4 United States Army World War II Son of Frank and Rose Vondra. Raised in Bee NE. Graduated Seward Public Schools. Frank enlisted just out of high school in the Nebraska National Guard in 1941. He served in combat during World War II in North Africa, Italy, Germany, and France. Frank was wounded 3 times during combat and was awarded 3 Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star for his service with Company B 143 Regiment 36 Infantry Division. Frank enlisted just out of high school in the Nebraska National Guard in 1941. He served in combat during World War II in North Africa, Italy, Germany, and France. Frank was wounded 3 times during combat and was awarded 3 Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star for his service with Company B 143 Regiment 36 Infantry Division. Frank worked at Western Electric in Omaha and he served 3 terms as President of the IBEW LU 1974. His belief was that the management should share their profit with the workers that produce the profits. He was then the International Representative for the IBEW out of Washington D.C. for 18 years and represented over 30,000 workers. Frank was the Master Mason with the Beehive Lodge 184 for 56 years, member York Rite Bodies of Omaha and a Shriner for 27 years with Tangier Shrine in Omaha. He served as a Flag Bearer for the Legion of Honor Color Guard. Proud member of the Road Runners Club within the Shrine transporting children and their families to and from Shriner's Hospital completing over 150,000 miles of transportation. He was an avid Husker fan attending Husker games with season ticket for 46 years. Preceded in death by parents, sister Anne and daughter Betty Jones Survived by; wife of 70 years Lucille Vondra, sons, Calvin(Linda)Vondra, Frank R. (Kristin) Vondra, and son Jim Jones.
