Description	:	Son of Frank Albert and Maggie Mills Winters LOCAL MAN IS CRUSHED IN ACCIDENT NEAR LINN CREEK BRIDGE Ralph Winters, 31 years old was killed aparently instantly sometime between midnight and 5 o'clock this morning by a Chicago Great Western Train, presumably a freight train, immediately west of the Linn creek railway bridge in the east end of the city. Read More	Son of Frank Albert and Maggie Mills Winters LOCAL MAN IS CRUSHED IN ACCIDENT NEAR LINN CREEK BRIDGE Ralph Winters, 31 years old was killed aparently instantly sometime between midnight and 5 o'clock this morning by a Chicago Great Western Train, presumably a freight train, immediately west of the Linn creek railway bridge in the east end of the city. Police were notified shortly after 5 o'clock when the body was discovered about four feet from the tracks. The left side of the face was badly crushed but no other marks of mutilation other than small bruses were found. Police believes he may have been walking the tracks on his return home from the downtown district to his home, which was only a short distance from the bridge. Clarence Johnton, s cousin, whom Winters made his home, he last saw Winters on South 3rd Avenue about midnight. For the past week both Winters and Johnson have been employed at the old Odgon theater, where workman are removing seats from the building prepatory to installing them in the memorial coliseum. Winters is survived by his father, Frank Winters, 303 South Fourth Avenue, five brother, Roy, Ray, Edward, Bert and Lyle., all of Marshalltown, and by one sister, Pearl Miller ofLouisville, Ky. He was born in Marshallton August 28, 1906. Funeral services were incomplete late today. The body was taken to Pursel funeral home. Dr. Rodney C. Wells, county coroner conducted an instigation into circumstances of the death but was undecided whether to hold an inquest.
