Rusler, the son of Frank and Fannie Bussard Rusler, was born near Bradshaw, Nebraska on June 15, 1915. His death occurred at his home in Aurora on April 3, 1978 at the age of 62 years, 9 months and 18 days. As a small boy he moved with his parents to Missouri Valley, Iowa where they resided until 1929 when they moved to a farm near Giltner, Nebraska. In 1937 they moved to the vicinity of Marquette, residing there until 1945 when they moved into Aurora. On October 12, 1968 he was united in marriage to Mary Powers at Omaha. They made their home in Aurora. "Slim", as he was known to his many friends, was employed by the Cornhusker Ordnance Plant in Grand Island and was the oldest employee in years of service. At the time of his death he was on disability leave. His parents had preceded him in death. Those who survive are his wife, Mary; one sister Mrs. Millie Green of Grand Island; one niece, Mrs. Bernadean Johnston of Denver, Colorado and one great niece, Susan Murphy of Canon City, Colorado and other relatives and many close friends.
