Morey, 70, engineer at the state penitentiary for the last 27 years, died in a local hospital at 4 p.m. Monday after an illness of one week. Death was due to pneumonia, which developed from influenza. Funeral services will be conducted at Perry's funeral parlors at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow, with Rev. Paul S. Wright, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be made at Fairview cemetery. He attended a rural school near Des Moines when a boy. He was engineer at the New York Life Insurance building in St. Paul, Minn., for 17 years before coming to Bismarck in 1902. Morey's only daughter, Mrs. C. F. Smith, Minneapolis, who has been in Bismarck since Sunday noon, was at his bedside at the time of his death. Morey's wife died four years ago.
